Aloha! I’m Wendy!
I picked up my first camera when I was little to have photo shoots with my Pound Puppies. Now I’m lucky enough to live on the magical Island of Maui capturing peoples’ most important stages of life. It would be an honor for my images to grace your walls or social media page. If you’re looking for a memorable photo session with your toes in the sand, I’m your gal!
What is your photography style?
I tend to shoot a combination of documentary-style photography and posed portraiture. I want to tell the story of your session, capturing genuine moments and candid interactions, with a few posed close-ups in-between. I can give as little or as much direction as you want, most of my clients ask for some direction throughout the shoot. The end result is a blended collection of candid and posed portraits of your experience.
What’s your background?
I started my first photography business, Ardolino Photography, in 2008 in Oregon. I was blessed with amazing wedding and event clients, but something was missing. I have always been captivated by the Hawaiian islands, so in 2013, my husband and I came to Maui to photograph a wedding. When we returned home, we made plans to move here, and we actually did! It has been everything we dreamed of, and more!
In 2022, we welcomed a sweet baby boy and have been exploring the island again, seeing it through his eyes! He’s a true water baby that loves hiking with us and going to the beach, our little explorer!
What do you do in your personal time?
When I am not taking photos of amazing clients (that's you!), I enjoy going paddle boarding, hiking, going to the gym, helping my husband with our home DIY projects (okay, enjoying the finished projects), learning more about and exploring the island with fam and friends, playing with our cat, drinking coffee and lots of coconut water.
